We are a leader in the development, implementation and management of sugar cane-based energy projects in the Asia Pacific. In 2006, we completed development of the first integrated cane-based ethanol and power cogeneration plant in Asia, producing 40 million liters of fuel ethanol and 60 million kw hours of renewable electricity.
San Carlos Bioenergy, located on Negros Island of the Philippines, is the first such plant in the world to dedicate its sugar cane feedstock entirely to the production of energy, helping to achieve the country’s goals of energy independence and sustainable development. Outside the factory, we work backwards to develop, improve and sustain biomass feedstock and fuels, and forwards to provide the oil industry with biofuel storage and logistics infrastructure solutions.

Established in 2003 by Zabaleta & Company and Bronzeoak Limited of the UK, Bronzeoak Philippines is today the market leader in the development and management of integrated cane milling, ethanol and cogeneration facilities in the Philippines with two new projects moving toward construction. Borne from this success, Bronzeoak Asia-Pacific expands our efforts into the United States and the rest of the Asia-Pacific. And Bronzeoak Clean Energy, an investment partnership with the Majent Group and US-based FE Clean Energy, provides equity and investment towards building clean, sustainable, biomass-based energy facilities throughout the region.
